Braxton-Grant Technologies (BGTech) is a Blue Coat Authorized Training Center (ATC), offering instructor-led training programs that prepare administrators to effectively manage Blue Coat devices, including the ProxySG, ProxyAV, and Director. WAN Optimization Track

Blue Coat Certified WAN Acceleration Administrator (BCWAA)

Audience:

IT professionals who wish to master the WAN optimization fundamentals of the Blue Coat ProxySG.

Prerequisite:

Students should be familiar with basic networking concepts, such as LANs, security, and IP protocols.  Additionally, students should have advanced knowledge of application delivery network and security.

Description:

The Blue Coat WAN Acceleration Administrator (BCWAA) Course is intended for students who want to use new ProxySG features enabling application acceleration.  After completing this course, you will understand:

 

·          How to install and configure the ProxySG for acceleration

·          How to accelerate specific kinds of application traffic

·          How to monitor bandwidth gains and optimization in the Blue Coat Sky interface

Audience:

Students should have practical experience with the ProxySG in the field. Additionally, students should have advanced knowledge of application delivery network and security.

BCWAA course. Students need practical experience with the ProxySG in the field. Additionally, students should have advanced knowledge of application delivery network and security.

Description:

The Blue Coat WAN Acceleration Professional (BCWAP) Course is intended for students who want to use new ProxySG features that enable advanced features of application acceleration. You must complete the BCWAA course before enrolling in the BCWAP course. The Blue Coat WAN Acceleration Professional course is intended for students who wish to master the advanced WAN optimization features of the Blue Coat® ProxySG®. It is designed for students who already have taken the Blue Coat WAN Acceleration Administrator (BCWAA) course. Students need practical experience with the ProxySG in the field. Additionally, students should have advanced knowledge of networking, security and application acceleration. After studying this course, you will understand:

 

·          How to configure advanced features in an Application delivery network (ADN)

·          Different ADN Connection types and how can you secure your ADN

·          VLAN and QoS support in the ProxySG

·          Advanced features in CIFS proxy and how to troubleshoot issues

Blue Coat Certified PacketShaper Administrator (BCPSA)

Audience:

Students who are responsible for managing network application performance using the Blue Coat PacketShaper.  This is the rebranded and modified version of the former Packeteer Specialist (Level1) course. The goal of this course is to develop basic knowledge and skills sufficient to operate an installed PacketShaper on a daily basis.
